V-REFLEXTM Reflective Material Descriptions
V-REFLEX™ Reflective Material - Home Wash Retro-Reflective Fabric/Tape is made for occupational safety garments that need to be cleaned in domestic laundry. It has wide-angle, exposed retro-reflective lenses stuck to a strong textile fabric or ribbon. When lit up by things like car headlights, it sends light back to the source, making the wearer more visible in the dark or low light, so drivers can see them. This material comes in different grades, mainly based on how well it holds up through multiple washes. Note that it's for home washing – if you need flame resistance, industrial laundry compatibility, or both, pick the retro-reflective tape series with those features instead.
RF-HW506030-CR is an advanccrease resistant (crease removal, anti-creasing )ed sew-on retro-reflective fabric engineered with exclusive crease resistant technology, designed to maintain optimal reflective performance even after repeated folding, use, and laundering.
This innovative material builds on core reflective functionality while addressing the critical issue of fold-induced damage, ensuring long-term durability and optical integrity.
The durability for repeated washing is determined by the ISO 6330 test. For crease-resistant reflective fabric/tape, there are three home wash cycles options: 50, 75, and 100.

V-REFLEX™ Reflective Tape (RF-HW756050-CR) is a silver retro-reflective tape with a highly crease-resistant polyester-cotton blend fabric backing. Designed for medium to heavy-weight safety garments like jackets and coveralls, it withstands repeated home washing and occasional industrial laundering while maintaining a smooth, professional appearance. Its durable, crease-resistant backing ensures long-lasting visibility and reliability across both premium and standard safety workwear.
*Industrial Wash may significantly decrease its retro reflective value*
Advanced Crease-Resistant Reflective Fabric Technology
Fold marks primarily originate from micro-cracking in the vapor-deposited aluminum layer when subjected to bending stress during use or laundering. These fractures disrupt light reflection paths and propagate through the glass bead layer, causing permanent milky streaks. Conventional reflective fabrics suffer from:
- Brittle aluminum-crystal deformation at 45° bend angles
- Delamination at glue/coating interfaces during wet flex cycles
- Microbead dislodgement creating focal point deviations
Proprietary Multi-Barrier Solution Architecture
*Layer 1: Shape-Memory Adhesive Matrix*
- Hybrid polyurethane-silicone copolymer infused with reactive diluents (25% w/w)
- Dynamic disulfide bonds enable molecular reconfiguration post-folding
- Nano-diamond fillers (0.3μm) reinforce ductility without optical interference
*Layer 2: Fracture-Resistant Aluminum Deposition*
- Magnetron sputtering at 0.01 mbar argon pressure creates columnar nanostructure
- Graded Al-Si interlayer (80nm) prevents crack propagation
- Residual compressive stress of -350 MPa enhances fold recovery
*Layer 3: Stress-Dispersing Bead Array*
- Monodisperse glass microspheres (50μm Ø) in hexagonal close-packing
- Laser-assisted micro-cavitation allows ±12° bead rotation during folding
- TiO₂/SiO₂ hybrid refractive index matching layer (n=1.65-1.72)
Surface Restoration Technology
- Thermo-Responsive Polymer Networks: Shape-memory effect triggered at body temperature (37°C)
- Microfluidic Healing Agents: Dual-capsule system releases:
• Metal-organic framework (ZIF-8) for aluminum gap bridging
• Siloxane precursors for bead repositioning
Performance Validation
- Maintains >98% initial reflectivity after 200,000 MIT folding cycles (ASTM D3886)
- Withstands 50+ industrial washes (AATCC 135) with <5% luminance loss
- Recovers from 180° folds in 8.3±1.2 mins at 23°C/50% RH
"Where resilience meets reflection: Our nano-engineered strata transform vulnerability into enduring luminosity, ensuring every fold dissipates without trace."

Product Application Guideline
We recommend that all customers, in accordance with good manufacturing practices, establish an ongoing quality system which includes maintaining lot/roll identification throughout the garment production process.
Customer should also store input materials and final products in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, as well as implement continuous testing throughout their production and on their finished garments that reflects their garment needs.
Cutting
Die-cutting is recommended, although it can also be hand-cut or guillotined.
Note: Use very sharp cutting knives only and cut from the reflective side.
