Guidelines for Finding The Best Laminating Settings
Prior to mass production, we recommend heat transfer (laminating) operators doing some test to find the best temperature settings, which are best for laminating V-REFLEXTM Reflective Transfer Film on their fabrics, by starting from a lower temperature, e.g 120 oC degree.
- Get ready about 10 pieces of fabric (the specific fabric that users are going to run mass production of reflective transfer film transferring (bonding) to, A4 size),
- Get ready about 10 pieces of heat transfer film, which should be cutting from the same roll of reflective transfer film.
- First heat transfer film specimen on the first piece of fabric specimen with120 oC degree, 3-4 Kgs pressure, 7-15 seconds
- Second heat transfer film specimen on second first piece of fabric specimen with 130 oC degree, 3-4 Kgs pressure, 7-15 seconds
- Increase temperature a little bit higher than last testing on another piece of fabric specimen.
- Gradually increase temperature a little bit higher (5-10 oC degree higher each time) than the last one setting.
- Finally reach and find the temperature that is too high to damage fabrics (or / and) heat transfer film in such an operation
- Compare all tests which were done with this series of different temperatures
- Choose the proper temperature and pressure which is best for your fabrics
- Follow the same temperature and pressure for your mass production
- Follow the same operations to find the best temperature for your other fabrics.
As customers are using V-REFLEXTM Reflective Transfer Film on thousands and thousands of fabrics, we are not able to give the best solution for all our customers, we encourage our customers to test our material on their clothing to find the best TEMPERATURE, HEATING TIME, PRESSURE
